Travel is only a Memory

Retire. Travel. See the world. Covid-19 put a hold on all that. I actually miss traveling. We did drive back to Michigan last September to visit the three children and two grandsons that were in the Houston area at that time. The idea was to go to our grandson Andy's birthday party. That didn't work out as planned. The trip lasted from September 22, 2020 until October 3, 2020. Our travel fare consisted mostly of drive through dining, which functioned well. Bathroom stops (an important consideration when you're our age) were best conducted at the rest stops along the way. Our car routed us south through Louisiana on the way to Pearland, Texas. We deviated and drove through Texarkana instead, a much more familiar route. On the way back I decided we'd take the route the car plotted for us, through Louisiana and north. Did I mention using highway rest stops instead of gas stations and restaurants? Going to Pearland the state rest stops were clean and well-maintained. Coming
